  1. Hey Christine!

Great job so far on your portfolio! The background and style that you chose to write about was perfect! It is easy to read, and it stands out. Also the pictures that you chose for your stories are perfect because the depict exactly what you are trying to describe in your story.

I really enjoyed both of the stories that you have written so far. The first one about Hanuman was my favorite! I was quite surprised that you decided to have Hanuman die in the end! I love the character of Hanuman, and I was so sad to see him die. But you did a great job illustrating your point that Hanuman would make any sacrifice to help Rama.

The second story was also great! You did a great job showing how Bharata must have felt after finding out his father had passed away. I really liked that you told us exactly what Bharata was thinking when his mother told him how he had become king because I can only imagine the horror that must have felt finding all this information out! Great job again! I look forward to reading more of your stories in the future!

  3. Hi Christine! Just replying to your comment to me! Hanuman is definitely one of my favorites. His loyalty to Rama is the thing that made me fall in love wit his character. I think loyalty is an amazing character trait and if you have loyal friends you have found the golden ticket! I am glad someone appreciates simplicity as much as I do! Thanks for your comment! Best of luck on the rest of them semester!

  4. Hey Christine!

I’m glad you chose the Portfolio option because your stories are both fun and interesting, not to mention entertaining. I think my favorite story you wrote was your week 9 storytelling: Urvasi in Love. This is such an adorable perspective on a very minor part of the Mahabharata. What I really liked about it though, was how you distinguished the dialogue and thoughts from the narrator by use of italics. This is something I have never seen before, and it seems to be such a great idea! If you do not mind, I think I might steel that for one of my next stores. It is very interesting to see this from Urvasi’s perspective, mostly because we only hear it from Arjuna. It really helped me relate more to the story. You did an excellent of capturing her emotion because it really helped me to better understand how she felt and what she was going through. Excellent job!!
